As it happens we can getter faster broadband, better service and loose our VOIP telephone system, all for less than we are currently paying with BT.
Obviously this information wasn’t offered to us by the wonderful British Telecom, but with a bit of digging we found out what we actually could get. Cheers BT, we got there in the end.
We admit it – we love working with WordPress. Wordpress websites are easy to manage, functional and fun to work with. There are a zillion ready made WordPress themes that are just waiting to be customised and made unique and individual.
Working with ready made website themes in this way means that a lot of time is saved as the vast majority of the website code is ready written, and that means that more time can be spent on the important stuff like making the website look amazing in-line with client brief, and also on writing great web content.
Bearing in mind that ready made website themes can be totally customised and altered to become truly unique, we wonder why any typical small business in this day and age would pay for a fully bespoke website to be coded and designed from the ground up.
Dont get hung up on the detail, keep in mind the fundamentals that you would like your website to achieve and work towards it.

The most popular position sought after seems to be web design. Don’t be under any illusions though, good web design is much more than just designing cool stuff in photoshop – there’s an amazing amount of attention to detail and content publishing involved!
Anyhow, if you’re applying to work with us as a web designer, you’d do well to put some design creativity into your CV. A Microsoft Word document in Times New Roman doesn’t exactly shout out “Hey – I’m Creative!”.
Also make sure you provide links to actual websites you have created in the past. As far as we’re concerned anyone with a love for web design will have a good portfolio of stuff they have done, even if it for family and friends with businesses of their own.
You’ll really need to stand out if you are going to work with a leading web marketing agency like Pumpkin.

When it comes to website design you cant have too many copyright free images in stock. Copyright free images for commercial use are very expensive, ranging from about a quid to, in some cases hundreds of quids!
So, whilst we’ve got Scott, our young apprentice working here at Pumpkin every Monday, we’re going to put him to good use by sending him out into town taking photographs of stuff we might be able to use for web design in the future.
This could be anything from landscapes, people, trades, corporate stuff – anything really.
